Really? RPM has the aluminum motor guard available? I have a couple of buggies that need it but hoping not to pay $30 each.
I need a couple as well. I was just going to buy these.

I heard back from RPM. They definitely have them and reasonable price. That's just crazy to be able to still get those. Thanks for the tip. They are going to wonder why RC10 motor guards are suddenly so popular. 🤣

That’s definitely a nice piece and all but I’m sure if you contact RPM you’ll be happy you did :D

I asked if they had any other secret RC10 parts available. Unfortunately, no they don't.

I got a response back from RPM.
Congratulations on your acquisition. Our Ultra Molded Chassis RC10 conversions are extremely rare so you found the proverbial needle in the haystack.

Sadly, we don't have much but we do have images of the instructions that came with them. The photos are attached for your review. The original kit came in a bag with a header card - no box or illustrations. However, if you do a Google Image search of "rpm ultra molded chassis kit", there are plenty of customer photos available for your review. Also, visit www.rc10talk.com for some very knowledgeable help from the on-line vintage community.

I'm afraid we no longer have much of any parts available. Once the on-line community got wind of our low stock status and immanent possibility of them being discontinued, they bought out what little we had left. All we do have left are gold springs, silver springs and the rear black aluminum motor plate.

Take care and thank you for your interest and support of RPM products. If you have any other questions or comments, please feel free to send us another e-mail.
I am beginning to get the idea that this is pretty rare in it's condition, even for rc10talk.

I have been back and forth with the seller asking about other parts that may go with this. This was their extra one. They sent me pictures of a built kit with the modified RPM transmission. Apparently some of them may not have come with the transmission brace. They seem to be aware of how rare this is.

Yes it is definitely rare in the condition that you have purchased it. I would be hard pressed to run that because unlike a tub or graphite chassis, it easy to rash up, which significantly reduces it's value.

The steering enhancement kit alone sells for a bunch so I wouldn't want to risk breaking those either.

If you're really just not that into this Ultra molded chassis, I have a really nice T2 I'd trade for it ... 😁

And juicedcoupe has some yard tools he would trade.
