Re: JRX2 - The project.
I even found genuine Losi shock oil in an old box.
It turned out ok.

Yes, looking good! What are your plans for paint?

Re: JRX2 - The project.
Thanks guys!
About paint, I have no memory of what color my original Jrx2 had. Still looking through old photos at my fathers place. I have only found two pictures of my 5-link and that was when it was converted to a truck.
This was from the time my cars where white and green.
Not so sure my original car was that color.
Let's see if I can find any photos.

Re: JRX2 - The project.
The car has turned out great so far, and that chassis repair you made is incredible! Looking forward to updates.

Re: JRX2 - The project.
Kind words.
Glad you like it!
Considering what the chassis looked like when I got it, it turned out good.
I haven't had the time to do anything on the Jrx2 lately. I had to take care of a leaky gearbox on my kit car. But that is now hopefully fixed and the gearbox is back in the car.
Next up for the Jrx2 is to cut the body. This is NOT my favorite thing.
I can't find any photos of my original Jrx2. But I have found another photo of an old Losi I had. I remember that paintjob and might combine that pattern with the colors of the XX Cr I used as my last racecar.

Re: JRX2 - The project.
Painted and decals applied.
I aimed for something period correct. And this was one of the paint schemes I used to race.
From a distance it looks alright.
A couple of mistakes but nothing major. About the same quality as I did back in the day.
Might need a couple of more decals. I will let it grow on me.

Re: JRX2 - The project.
Wow! What a transformation! As everyone has already said, superb work saving that chassis plate, I think most people would have discarded that to the side as a 'lost cause'
I do like the paint scheme to - simple but very 'clean' & pleasing to the eye.... Early Losi's do seem to suit asymmetric bodyshell designs.
P.S; looks like a Type9 gearbox/transmission on your work bench? What is your kit car that the gearbox has come out of?
