New built 44B with Race Prep arms, JG Kydex, and Proline wheels and tires.

@ threesheds , I used the data provided to derive something... I'm not sure how close it is from the reality, I'll have to wait I have a real tire in hand to check how much need to be reviewed...

It's quite simple... I may review the stud...

Just bought this from ebay as I thought it would be a cool runner and was looking forward to racing it in stock class at the Castle hill vintage meet but when I received it I realised it is new built,the tyres have never had the compresion rings...

I have this 44B hilux project that's been sitting on my shelf forever, and I decided I give up looking for a body for it... it looks lilke it's been run 3 times at most, the front...

After narrowing the track, and fitting the old-skool tires and wheels, it still took a lot of shortening to get this body to fit.
With 210mm wheelbase it is as long as an M-chassis Mini 8)

I've been searching these forums for DIY anodizing but have yet to come across anything.

Just curious if there is anyone out there who has tried it? I'd like to know what your personal experiences are!

it isn't difficult, but it involves some nasty chemicals that need adequate handling, and good dyes are a little pricey for one-off's.

Maybe this could interest some here so I thought it could be usefull to share my DIY custom hinge pins. I was tired off always having to search for the correct hinge pins for custom projects so came up with this idea of doing my own custom length...

You can also use .125 piano wire in a pinch (or whatever diameter $.59 wire your application needs), too.
