Paydirt on the Super Speedway car!
This is the one to go for.
It'll be a challenge,but definitely possible.
The hard anodized shock I can get done,I have a Novak 410-MXc,already,and a few sheets of carbon fiber for the chassis.
The quick change battery setup,T plate,the Holeshot Racing Super Cooler heat sink and the suspension block machined for 2 degrees of camber will be tough to find and replicate.
But doable.
It'll be a long term project,with the emphasis on the body,wheels and external appearance,at first,but I'll get there.

The body is an Associated Superspeedway Lumina,that'll be a toughie!
How close the Parma body is to it I do not know,needles to say,if anyone has one of these suckers stashed away,I'd love to take it off your hands.

Cool-scored the donor car and it's damn tidy,too.

It even has those cool side nerf bar...things.

Here's a pic of the car in its current form on display in my office. The body is my concours winning entry from the Thunderdrome the next year, complete with moving driver helmet and almost all of the logos are painted inside the body. The only logos that aren't paint are the small Autographics "NASCAR Sheet" sponsor logos. That one took me a long time to paint!

The chassis was a custom car that Curtis Husting at Associated built for a few of the team guys to use in enduros, it was never released to the public. I think there may have been 3 or 4 ever built! Curtis hand-machined the nylon parts just like he did for the RC10 buggy prototype.

I'm torn between keeping the stock chassis on the 10L and just getting it as close as I can with it,or making a new chassis up from scratch to get it 100% perfect.
Any chance of emailing me some detailed photos of it,mate?

A template for the chassis would be fabulous,but I quite understand if you don't want to do that.

Yeah the stock car wheels came out the next year after that RCCA article and fit the look of the car perfectly.

FasterLouder What tire do you plan on putting on the car? The reason I'm asking is that I have at least 75-100 new old stock wheels with tires I mounted, glued, trued, and balanced back in the day and never ran. Lots of (white) BBK type that have numerous compound foam tires.

I don't have any TRC caps but I do have a pretty good selection of T/M Prolites Radials mostly on (black) Nascar type wheels though.

I have a lot of used parts and still quite a few NOS parts for the 10L as well.

If you have trouble finding something, let me know! I will definitely try to help.

I can hook you up with the #20 and #22 front springs, the 2 degree caster wedges and the heat sink for the motor. None of these parts are new but they're in good shape.

Planning on some white BBS style rims with rubber capped tires,if I can find them,but foams in good condition would still do the trick.

I've tracked down some Twinn K radials that might do the trick.
A few sets of white BBS style rims with tires would be super helpful,though,at least until I come across some TRC capped radials.
Are there any parts you need that I could trade for two sets of rims and tires?
