Hi all,
It seems that 6 gear idlers have recently become a lot harder to find, and more expensive. Any chance the SC10 4x4 idlers (associated 91010) would be a viable substitute? I can see there's a flange on one side, but it doesn't look that hard to remove. . .

Nope the 6-gear idlers and the modern idlers are completely different.

IMHO, if you don't luck out at your LHS, then, rather than hunt NIP idlers on eBay, buy a used 6-gear trans and chop the out drives to make metal idlers.

Search it's been done take old outdrives cut down. Then all metal gears.

Hello all,
My cone washers are getting a little squished, and they are backordered most places. Before I order from rc10.com or Robobugs, does anyone know of a substitute that fits the stock axles? Thanks.

Recently received this RC10 from ebay. Got it torn down and cleaned.

One of the idler gears, ASC#6613, has a couple chips out of the teeth.

Is there anyone making those for sale?

Just wondering what you gents are using for rear tires. I recently learned Bowties are no longer made and that's too bad. I had great luck with them at my local track. I race my T2 with a 9.5t plutonium sensored bl motor on a semi-loose 1/8scale...

Since Tower is not able to supply B2/B3 rear wheels any more (discontinuted) is there an alternative we can use for racing? I had a look at the Thunder Tiger Phoenix BX wheels because TTR stated that this buggy is based on the AE B3 but it...

What year did AE use the black idler gear for the 1st generation grarbox? I know the first kits came out with the white gear but I do not know when they stopped using it.. Anyone? :)

the black idler gears were on the rc10 graphite released in 1989. the tq10 didnt have the updated idlers when it was released. they must be good gears because mine still look new and my car is still being raced today

Greetings,
My Optima is missing the right side steering link. Is there a substitute that I can use instead of the overpriced sc89 package? I realize that these things are pretty common but I'd like to stick with something that I don't have to modify...
