Re: For The Fun Of It

I have one of those! It has a modern brushless setup. Maybe I should post pics? Absolutely! Post some pictures in this thread. I doubt that I'll be building my kit in the foreseeable future, so it would be cool to see what a completed car looks like. I found pictures of another member's Telesis car...

Re: My blasphemous MIP 4-10 project

I do not agree with building a WOIN car using such rare, vintage MIP parts, but I'll be watching this thread regardless.

Re: Who owns every generation RC10?

Anything with a cab forward body should not be considered a generation of the RC10. Just saying...

Re: Edinger? Time for some love

What about a 3D printed part? I made a quick model and test print (with "white" ABS) of the early Edinger ball cup. I think the results are pretty good for a first pass. It would only be suitable for a shelf car, though. Aesthetics, and possibly durability, would be better with a pro prin...

Re: RPM Ultra Chassis eBay pick up

I guess that I remain in the minority around here. I thought that the pink looked awesome (and very era-correct, for that matter). I would have purchased some pink Rit dye and gone just a little darker instead of black. Everything RC is black these days. Dare to be different... Color aside, t...

Re: Castor block choices

There are no turns in drag racing, so it really does not matter too much what you use. Any steering input you make during a race should be absolutely minimal. EDIT: If you are interested in how 1:1 scale drag racers setup their cars, then take a look at this: https://www.onallcylinders.com/2015/01/1...

Re: Brimod Prototype Car

Yes, of course you could be correct. The only real way for me to know is to ask somebody involved with the original prototype builds (which i am still actively trying to do). I am basing my assumption on a couple of things.... there were two articles on the 2wd prototypes, and in the same magazine ...

Re: Rc10CE paint scheme

I love the vintage paint scheme.

Sadly, even that beautiful paint scheme cannot disguise the hideousness of a cab forward body.

Re: Team Cobra Trackside [Tire] Truer

That is a nice assortment of arbors. On my Cobra tire truers, I always use arbors with pins for both front and rear pan car tires. The pins can be placed against the inside "spokes" of front wheels and into the mounting screw holes of rear wheels. The pins prevent the arbors from slipping ...
