Re: RC Top Faux Buff CAT 10

Started making some progress on finishing the bodywork. The painting went ok. Now more sticker work to do, and then picking out or making a rear wing.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

Do you know anyone with a tap and die set? Adding a 1/4-20 UNC thread wouldn't be too difficult. Very annoying though, yes. Someone else here had that happen with a Tamiya or Kyosho kit not long ago. I'm surprised this happens, but apparently it does. If AE doesn't get back to you quickly, I'm sure...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

A nice group of motors showed up. I'm most excited about the Race Prep. The can and endbell are both unique. I have no other motors like this. 1000011130.jpg I'm not a RP expert, but they typically have "Racing Motors" on the label instead of the "Performance" for their other of...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

The label has been on for a little while. The top clear on the end was separated and a little dirty. I cleaned and repaired the separation. It probably is a replacement, but it's not a new MCI replacement label. It's an odd motor. Bushings, not bearings but comes apart like a modified. The brush hoo...

They are 0.250" / 6.35 mm shafts. I could open up 5mm to work. Do you know if either is compatible with an RC10 dogbone end?

Trackmaster transmission

I have an RC10 Trackmaster transmission that needs a little work but has a lot of potential. However the big hurdle is it needs outdrive cups. Anyone found outdrive options that will work with it? Preferably something affordable. I am kinda cheap.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2024 **

I really like the Build of the Month. There are always some new to me models that I never knew existed, some nicely done builds and restorations, and paint work I could never hope to match.

Jeff hooked me up with some awesome front shock tower options for my Hyper Hornet. Super fast cutting and delivery! His USPS guy must have a soft spot for RC parts. 😁
