Re: Things that irritate you
Are you tinning the wire and terminal before soldering them together? The final connection should be simple, assuming that both pieces were properly prepared. You don't want to be steadily putting heat into the terminal, as it will melt and distort. With Dean's style connectors, I usually add the op...

I would use some type of etching primer. Painting aluminum is hard enough, anodized aluminum is even worse.

Looking at the pictures, that looks like a J plug. So it'd be a 111B.
I have one. But unfortunately, it has a bad potentiometer.

Before painting a new set of shocks, I'd probably settle for the dark grey with black caps.

No, that simply refers to the style of the tower.
I like the A&L towers, and use various ones on several of my cars. But functionally, there isn't much difference.

This shows Andy's arms but the information applies to short arms as well.

Looks like black paint.
0.71 shocks are on the long side for a short arm car, particularly if you want a lower ride height.
If you have enough clearance at the body, a Factory Works 0.89 tower will allow you to use them. Jeff has a few different versions.

I've got 7 or 8 Futaba esc's. The only problem that I've had was a bad potentiometer on one.

I've been busy this year but I'll play. This started out as a $25 Frog parts car, then evolved into the Brat/Blackfoot hybrid you see here. The original Frog chassis, transmission side plates, and battery holders have all been painted. The front and rear control arm mounts, MSC mount, and front body...

My son figured out that the tall soft wall crawler tires that are (were  ) great for taller grass don't hold up to 10T brushless rolling burnouts. . 1000010892.jpg If he wants taller tires, why not try some from a Sledgehammer, Monster Beetle, or Blackfoot? While not soft, the Sledgehammer and...

11X8 bearing adapters and 4X8 bearings should do it.

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
JC Racing has dish and spoke wheels for 1/4" axles. They are in the truck section, not the vintage section.
Jeff might still have some 1/4" rear wheels. I bought a couple sets a while back. I used them with JConcepts fronts (the gloss is a little different up close).
