Re: ABC Hobby 1/10 Mini Chassis Genetic
Mini Cooper (FWD), Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR, Renault Alpine A110, Mazda Eunos, Alfa GTV, Porsche Boxster... I think the VW Beetle was on the longer M02L chassis, plus some others I've forgotten?? Doesn't ABC specifically mention the M03 chassis won't work!

Re: ABC Hobby 1/10 Mini Chassis Genetic
Any 1/10th "mini" chassis should accommodate that body without many mods.
Anyone else see the new "mini" chassis Cup Racers and real bodies from HPI?

That HPI chassis looks great, and super adjustable for body sizes. I hope they re-release some of their mini bodies, they made a bunch of vw's that would be nice to be able to get again.

Love the HPI F1 inspired suspension and battery "cage". I dont have touring cars, but one of these just might make the stable...eventually.

Re: ABC Hobby 1/10 Mini Chassis Genetic
I asked about the Datsun 240z BRE body fitting on my mini cooper chassis, and they said it would not fit. Could be cause of the wheelbase or the weird mini chassis. They did not specify. I think this body you are asking about is the same WB as the 240...
Maybe it would fit the TA03RS?

Re: ABC Hobby 1/10 Mini Chassis Genetic
I Don't think it fits the Tamiya cars.
I've been looking for the HPI RS4 mini for a while now. New ones on epay sell for waaaay too much $$.
The ABC cars are pretty cool. I know someone who can get them and they do have some pretty sick bodies. The new HPI Cup racer I believe used the Z body from ABC Hobby. http://www.abchobby.com/productimg/genz/shots/s30z/s30_01.jpg
Check out their bodies:

Re: ABC Hobby 1/10 Mini Chassis Genetic
this is an ancient thread but it needs to be dug up.
i'm on my second winter season with the abc genetic and it's the most fun i've ever had on carpet. this car dominates the competition.
it reminds me of when the customworks dominators first came out, nothing could touch them. well this car is just like that.
i race it in a "mini 4wd open"class, anything goes. i run an ancient novak ss 17.5 motor, hobbywing xerun 60amp esc and turnigy 4000mah batts. doesn't matter what i use for tires, foam is best but sometimes i toss on the stock rubber just to make it a little more interesting.
the cars i run against have much faster motors (traxxas 1/16 rally's and hpi cup racers), but can't come close.
now i think after the start of the second season i'm finally getting through to a few guys and in a few weeks there will be a couple of more genetics on the track, so my days of owning the oval may be over.
if anyone has a local mini 4wd class you have to try one of these out. the best part is all the trash talk, guys call it a wonton, chinese junk (it's japanese), but they all fall down like a line of domino's. lap after lap, and i keep lapping them.
there is a distributor in the us, abchobbyusa.
EDIT: after i dug this up i noticed it's in the tech section, should probably be moved to other makes.

no one cares, but i'm posting a vid anyway!

the two mini pickups are abc genetics, the one with the cow print (everyone calls it the mad cow) is mine.
there's only 3 cars in the A main because the other cars were 10+ laps behind so they all went in the b.
the white car is a traxxas 1/16 rally with a big motor....not enough motor to win though.

Very cool. Is that a circle track?
These cars,ABC genetic, HPI cup race, M05..etc are very popular in Japan.

Re: ABC Hobby 1/10 Mini Chassis Genetic
yes, just a small oval. tons of fun.
i'm looking to try another chassis just because i like the class so much. i think i want to try an atomic vmII, belt drive mini 4wd.
i don't know if it will be faster then the abc, but it's fun to have a few different chassis to try.

The ABC bodies are pretty small. I have a celica using a Kyosho stand.
The details on the body is nice..

nice cooltoys. yes the bodies are very nice but only fit 210mm chassis.
you need to paint that up and try it out, they are a real blast to drive.
my buddy who works at the track basically got paid to practice all last week so he could beat me with his traxxas rally.
well that didn't work out to well for him so this week he's got an ofna jl12e comming in wednesday so he can try to beat me thursday evening.
i don't think thats going to work out to well either.
i think his boss is urging him to beat me with something they can sell so i stop making the traxxas cars look bad (which he sells tons of).
as much as i love the genetic i may have to try one of these just for giggles:
