Would these sell?

Post by tizeye »

I was sent this picture of a roll cage for an RC10 made out of metal..I think it's really cool and I'd love the builder to build me one to..maybe if enough of us asked he might do it..so what do you think?

I think if you found the right buyer then yeah you could sell it. However I'm not sure what body would fit this. Also if you know how to sauter then you could braze you a cage, to your liking. From what I have been told it is the same as sautering ( I dont have the tools so I cant say for sure). I know you can bend the wire or brake tubing or what you choose to use with two nails and a 2x4 or even a hand held bender. Now with the exo cage that I had done for one of my rock crawlers the guy just used welding rod and welded them togather. You could try that just have to stripp the rod after you get it welded togather. Hope this helps.

I just saw some thing else posted about that Cage. I think its supposed to be a Replica of an Ad Car Cage, the one where the Buggy is 1:1 Scale.

That definitely looks like mikedealer's. He had a whole thread about it over at TC: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=79165&id=22245
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

I see a ton of crawlers with the tube chassis these days. I would love to learn to build, just for fun.
