Bought this for $25
A Kyosho Icarus. It needs a good cleaning, electronics, and a rear wheel, but otherwise it looks complete to me. I have been looking for an old kyosho for a long time for a good price and I finally found this one.

Great find! I've always really liked the Icarus; the pipe frame looks good on it. A friend had one BITD; it was fast and nearly indestructible.

Re: Bought this for $25
Thanks alot for your help guys. That magazine ad was nice aswell
I am still parted in how to restore it...I definately want to go with period electronics, but I'd rather replace the MSC with an old Novak because I plan on running it some. Do you think I should restore it to as factory as possible or not?
Also, is the motor that came with it rare? It says it's the Kyosho Lemans 360ST, is it valueable? I don't particularly care about the motor, so If I could get $20 out of it, the car itself would be almost free.

Akyosho Falcon
I allways found these cars to look so technically similar and wonder which came first.
From what I heard the kyosho is way better than the tamiya falcon for reliability, and having seen it run, it's definitely great for vintage racing.

Yes, they look alot alike. A recent chain of unfortunate events has induced a strong interest in me for Kyosho vehicles that are older than I am
Every one I have seen is well built and innovative. Half the stuff I see looks like it could still compete today.

My Vanning is about 1985 I think..there have not been a lot of major differences since then from what I can see..sure the drive trains are more efficient but that's about it..arms still look similar..bulk heads, tyres and rims are all similar to...retro rocks..
