iPod

Post by Halgar »

Strange question, I know, but what is an iPod, specifically, what is THIS iPod? Is this something that is internet capable or is it music only? What is a "1st Generation" iPod?

Magic boxes scare me, please help!

That's an iPod Touch, from what I understand it uses a touch screen instead of 'old-school' buttons and scroll wheels to navigate through menus and such. Other than that, you and I are in the same boat....aside from the being scared of magic boxes part ;)

the 1st gen and 2nd gen ipod touch means its different hardware basically. same machine and function, possibly older/buggier hardware..

in terms of rccars, its kinda like a rc10b4, you have the normal kit and then the factory team... same car and function, but the factory team parts make it a better car.

as far as the differences, i have no clue

An rc10b4? Before what?

Thanks for the replies everyone, please keep them coming. I'm not so much afraid of magic boxes as I just plain old don't understand them or know how to operate them. Give me something with a great big PhD button on it and I'll be fine.

Since we're on the subject, can anyone recommend a good set of noise canceling headphone with the interchangeable end pieces? I had a pair of Philips and really liked them but they crapped out on me in a year. I'm looking to keep cost under $100. Also, if any of you frequent forums that are specific to audio feel free to post a link for me so I can do a little research. Thanks!

I read some good reviews on some that Sony makes. I'm not sure the price, but I know they are the ones that come with the Sony Walkman MP3 players. I have a pair of Philips and they are my personal favorite. A friend of mine got the Bose for $99. They're nice, but I don't think they're 5 times better than a $20 pair.

No, it's all good! 8) Just so happen the girlfriend wants some NCHP's too. Maybe, if she's really good, Santa will bring her some for Christmas.
