If you mean vintage stuff I like my Novak T4 esc, Futaba Magnum JR, and Avenger(Hah!) battery. I have a Pretty Puny stock motor and a Joel "Magic" Johnson mod that I might put in there for vintage looks. When I actually run one I prefer the Castle Sidwinder 5700 and Maxamps 2s 5000mah Lipo. That Sidewinder is a beast. I just got a Mamba Max 5700 system, but haven't had time to compare it yet. I'm holding out 'til I get a 3s pack for it. My vintage radios and electrics are probably pretty weak compared to some of the other stuff people have in here.

Onroad gold pan buggy conversion: Futaba MC112B w/ Kyosho 240S
Gold pan 6 gear: Tekin G10-Pro w/ Trinity P2K (VONat entry)
Hotshot "A": Futaba MC800C w/ Trinity P2K (VONat entry)
Hotshot "B": AYK Magnum 360L (shelfer)
Grasshopper (Dad's): Tamiya TEU-101BK w/ 27t handout (VONat entry)
Grasshopper (daughter's) Tamiya TEU-101BK w/ Tower Hobbies 27t
Grasshopper (son's) Tamiya TEU-101BK w/ Tower Hobbies 27t

I tried a Mamba Max 6900 in my GH and took 50% tread off a set of Hornet tires in less than one pack... on a loose dirt track
I also have Mamba Max 4600 and 5700 systems that have not been in any of my vintage stuff yet. I plan on trying the 4600 in Hotshot "A" next spring....

I have many Kyosho LeMans motors that need to be rebuilt and my kids' GHs will probably get 360ST motors once their cheapo TH ones bite the dust. My lathe sits ready... if only I could find the time.

EDIT: Sorry, you asked batteries too. I have (5) 3000-3800mah nimhs, (3) 4500mah lipos and (4) 2300mah nicds. I mainly run the nicds in the GHs, the nimhs for general playing and the lipos for racing.
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.
