TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
This is going to cause both AE AND Losi guys to see red...Myself,being both,I nearly imploded...
Advertised locally...
Yes indeed-An RC10 Graphite chassis butchered up to accept Losi JRX2 running gear!
Blasphemy! I berated the seller with some questions and while I was at it,informed them of how much the chassis WOULD have been worth,if it hadn't been drilled and butchered.
The owner said he bought it this way.
It's not going for much money-I might buy it for the 5-link suspension components I need for my JRX2 restoration...And see if the chassis can be saved.

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
I doubt this has been done recently: looks it was done when plenty of these chasiss were on the shelves still and nowhere near collectible or vintage. Actually it almost looks like whoever built this, took a broken losi and recycled a chassis of an rc10 rather than the other way round...
Ok, the execution is not of the best I've seen, but to call it "butchering"?
Don't forget this a hobby and not all folks on this site are here to restore everything to box-art.

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
Yes,the owner bought it back in the day when these chassis weren't collectable in this state.
Point taken,Mr Ed !
I wonder what it drives like?
I put a brushless system into a beater JRX2,yesterday and was surprised just how good it drove!
The world's only JRX2?!

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
I bet it handles good, it just looks like a very long X2. remember very early on Losi quit makeing chassis. and moved on to the Pro, I was looking for a X2 chassis back in 92 they couldnt get it. I took me a very long time to run acrossed on old stock in a LHS shop, back in the late 90's.

mrlexan is gonna have the baseline for a nifty little rc10/jrx2 hybrid pretty soon. too bad no one will ever see it completed, because only half of the car will get built. you know..... the losi half.

I've been looking for one of those for a while with no luck.

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
i think jay already has a real RC-X2 kit. that was a Bullet (BRP) kit, right?
i'm whipping up a chassis for him. maybe he'll call it the JRX-10.

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
Someone actually made an RC10/JRX2 hybrid?
Joel Johnson's Optima Mid had a Losi 5-link in it...I guess there must be a few RC10's and other cars from that era with the Losi 5-link rear on 'em.
I'll probably by that car...Though Mrs. FasterLouder will kill me..."Why do you need another car?! You already have ten"!

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
it didn't use the 5 link, but it was a trailing arm chassis. it used the rc10 front end and a losi trans. i think a losi bulkhead too.

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
I just bought the RC10/JRX2 as a rolling body for $60.
I sure hope that chassis is usable,I could build me a nice graphite RC10
The JRX2 parts will be used with my JRX2 to make one nice car.
I pulled the 9T brushless setup out of my beater JRX2 and installed it into this,my latest XX,bought for the princely sum of $50,even came with an X-Cellerator body with an..er..interesting paintjob.
Got the HydraDrive working nice, geared it with an 88 spur and a 24t pinion and it RUNS!
This car won the 2006 NZ North Island champs and placed 2nd in the 2006 Nationals...

Re: TOTAL & UTTER Sacrilege!
I don't think so, can't you see that the kick-up has been hacked to accomodate the Jrx2 front end which is quite narrower? Probably the same issue at the rear too!FasterLouder wrote:I sure hope that chassis is usable,I could build me a nice graphite RC10
