Worlds biggest Vintage-meeting!

Post by siebenelch »

Hi, mates!

Maybe I am not the right person to announce this event, but what do you think about to organize a huge vintage-meeting?

So, maybe in the USA/California. Maybe in collaboration with Team Associated.

For me, I never was in the US. And my dream is, to visit the USA and drive my RC10 with other people there at a big event.

I know, there will be a lot of work for the organizers and everybody should have time to organize the trip to California. So it makes sense to make it at the end of 2008, or beginning of 2009.

Who wants to help to organize the event?

Fot my person, I am not able to do that from here in germany. So we need the US-boys!

What do you think?

Michael

I think you should all come to Japan and meet the folks of timetunnel and yatabe arena ;)
Don't like the 72mhz band they use in the US

Sounds like a Great idea!! I would come to the US for a vintage race.

Wouldn't it be great if the likes of Gene Husting and Roger Curtis were there!

Can't help organize, but I would attend :)

A large vintage meeting would be a lot of fun.

USA uses 75Mhz or 27Mhz for "surface" models. 72 for aircraft.

I would love to attend that event, but crossing the pond just to attend a race is not going to be cheap

For me it´s a reason to visit the US. I will take the chance to make my holidays there. You know, Las Vegas, Rocky Mountains, San Francisco etc.

And the damn dollar makes it a little cheaper for the european people ;)

I had this idea for a bit, but something of that magnitude would be difficult, BUT if people were to commit, it would be awesome to have a gathering of real vintage car enthusiasts.

Im all for West Coast. Travel CAN be expensive esp if you are not IN the US.

I think funding will be the hard part. Shhhhhh, don't say the "R" word (Recession).
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

With enough advance time flight can be fairly cheap.

If I can combine with a vacation with my wife I'm in.

You didn't hear it from me, but just hang tight on this. I know of something in the works. Nothing to announce yet, but there may be soon. Maybe I'll be able to make it through an event like this without breaking any bones...
