(UPDATED)In progress JRX-T
Can't even mention how cheap I got this for, always wanted one of these when I was a kid
fascinating rear end--still have the original VGC body--and new OEM rear tires here tomorrow
But, can anyone tell me why the bellcranks are different (one white/one black) is this normal??

Re: In progress JRX-T
Nice find for sure mate, you have a really early model there: no slot for the servo saver (obviously the reason why the left hand steering post has been replaced with a Jrx-2 soft one that acts as a servo-saver, but is very fragile), early style battery cup and 5-link posts with no rib...

Re: In progress JRX-T
So do I leave the whit/black bellcranks as they are or is the white one an add on?

Re: In progress JRX-T
there were lots of variations of the steering bellcranks
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3171
I've never seen them mixed from the factory, but anything is possible.
I do have a set of "truck" cranks that are white. Is your one white arm solid plastic, or does it have a metal lining where it mounts to the aluminum post?

Re: In progress JRX-T
No metal liner, just plastic--but the truck came to me with 1 incorrect tierod on the black
side, so it was prob busted at one point. So, on an early truck like this---what color is
correct???? & does anyone have a set they would like to let go???
BTW thanks to both of you for the info

Re: (UPDATED)In progress JRX-T
looks good. The last unpainted body(the only one I've seen nip) that sold on ebay was about a year ago and want for $120.
Decals do come up more often, though usually as part of a bigger auction.
I haven't been to walts in ages.

Grew up racing there, that dirty banked carpet track & that polished concrete excuse for aaconsola wrote: I haven't been to walts in ages.
dirt oval (not to mention the sandy outdoor track) is the ONLY reason I'm a sponsored driver
today---versitality---if you could be fast there, watch out everywhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my best friends (Eddie Edwards) or Todd Ferguson still runs the day to day there
Truly a great place
