Kyosho SCORPION

Post by Bormac »

A while back I went mad buying up whatever Scorpion stuff I could get my hands on. Today Im beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel with the first of a couple of cars Ive been working on. This Scorpion has the locked rear diff and Ive completely ball raced the whole car,put some red Kyosho shocks at each corner and a few other bits and peices. Im still yet to finish painting the driver, tyre letteringwing and fit the electrics too. So far Im happy with this car.

Sweet car.

I think the rims compliment the paintwork and look much more business-like
Getting a bit tired of all those alu rims to be honest.

Are you gonna do one time-tunnel style too? with big volume shocks, wider offset and modern wheels and rubber etc?

Yes I like the yellow rims too Ed. I think they were always one of the outstanding features of the original Assualt nitro version and when i found a set I knew exactly where they would go.
Ive been a very big fan of the 'Time Tunnel' website and will admit to having looked at those pics over and over again. What an incredible site with so many inpiring creations.
I have a set of Sees alloy rims on my Turbo Scorpion which will get a look in the next week or so.The I will need to decide which car will be getting run at the up coming vintage meet in Sydney. LOL

Well spotted. Its a Tamiya Sport Tuned sealed can motor. I think its a 23 turn single wind. They do well for old girls like these. Oh and yeah- MILLER is my favourite beer- :D

That truly is a nice car Jason. I want to see some action photos, and I want to see them now! :P

I am partial to the Tomahawk myself. I think it may have something to do with my love for the Super Champ. I have one almost completed, but will not come close to that little gem you put put together! Nice work indeed.
