Associated RC300 1/8 scale project No. 2 - custom build

Some guys might remember my RC300 project, building a new car from spare parts.
I just realized this was 7 years ago. Well, times fly ...
The project was for building a plain basic RC300 car.
So the name is RC300 Basic.
This car still belongs to my collection and I really like the look. Because it was the roots for any upgraded RC300 later, and for the look of being the big brother to the RC12E Electric.
But I always wanted to build another version which will feature several upgrades, option parts whatever. A custom build car.
It is not sure yet how this car will look like in the end. I have a rough plan for the way to go, but some ideas might be realized or replaced by others.
For telling the truth, I actually plan to build several versions. Well, if there are enough parts that is.
When building a new project, my goal always is a perfect, natural look.
This means, I prepare the parts in the beginning. Deburring parts and removing traces from manufacturing, if possible. But I don´t polish parts or overdo deburring.
Finally a careful multi stage cleaning process.
Overall this means spending quite some time for each single process. Not the fast way with throwwing parts together.
But all the cars build this way so far, did really shine.
Another important fact to me is using vintage hardware. I collected many screws, nuts, washers etc. from broken kits or as offered by manufacturers at that timeframe.
