YZ10 rere- this time with blue box art

What is a blue version? Apparently just the box art and stickers.

Would not like to see a track with all the same color cars running on it. Glad they are giving us different colors, and box art to replicate. Also - no pink.

The YZ10 was pretty popular in the 4wd gear case class at my track at the time I bought my Thunder Shot. I think my adolescent brain thought the T Shot would run with them. Maybe because of the streamlined body of the Thunder Shot. The YZ10 is smooth AF! I'd love to have one now but the bank is on me like flies on a rib-roast.

When I visit my cousins, the Turbo Optima is honestly my favorite driver. My buddy had a YZ10, and it is probably the only 4wd that ever compared to the smoothness.

can someone please explain to me how/why is this a Associated release?
isnt the YZ10 a yokomo car? what is the relation to Associated and why is Associated the 'owner' of this release and not yokomo like the super dog fighter for example?
i probably have insufficient knowledge of RC history and would gladly fill the gap with your help.
also, can yokomo decide to release a YZ10 of its own that will be completely different?
