Traxxas High Voltage Lineup 1997

Post by Dangeruss »

Which do you believe is more valuable, an original store receipt and uncut retail box or a $17.50 slipper clutch? Something to ponder while looking back at the days of "Free with the purchase of any..." in these 1997 Traxxas promotional ads, themselves a redux of their 1996 High Voltage ads:

Rustler: 1/10 2wd stadium truck released in 1994, spearheaded Traxxas' second generation all plastic platform.

Stampede: 1/10 2wd monster truck released in 1994, a lifted version of the Rustler stadium truck with plastic skidplates and tunnel style chassis.

Bandit: 1/10 2wd off-road buggy released in 1995, a narrower track shorter version of the Rustler stadium truck.

Street Sport: 1/10 2wd parking lot racer released in 1996, shorter and narrower than the Bandit but shared no parts with any other Traxxas vehicle.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Getting your memory jogged by an old car/ad is so much fun. :D

Indeed a cool bit of kit:
