Strength wise, the transmission will probably be fine.

A 12T might be a tall order for the gear ratio, depending on what you choose.

With the 6 gear, I feel like sloppy outdrive bushings / bearings are the risk for causing gear damage. The outdrive bearing mod does a good job addressing that risk. I would want to have that done before running a high power motor.
