NRC K24 - 1/24 Scale Ultima Pro Replica
Well well well what do we have here?
Arm size comparison:
I've actually built most of this last night. and I'll post more details later on but this is a cool little kit, and the quality is pretty damn good. Carbon, aluminum and injection molded parts. The only thing in the kit that's 3d printed is the wheels.Arm size comparison:
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: NRC K24 - 1/24 Scale Ultima Pro Replica
Built it up and am in love with it.
I did have some issues with the manual not 100% matching up to the parts supplied and also did a few things to get the design more to my liking and sent the info over the Nigel of NRC to review.
Quick rundown of things I addressed in case someone uses the v1 instructions:
I'm borrowing the electronics, wheels and tires from the NRC24 for testing for now. Hoping to start on the body tonight. Wiring will be cleaned up when it gets it's own set of electronics. Servo is the wrong size so it's kinda in there funky.I did have some issues with the manual not 100% matching up to the parts supplied and also did a few things to get the design more to my liking and sent the info over the Nigel of NRC to review.
Quick rundown of things I addressed in case someone uses the v1 instructions:
- -Ball diff doesn't have any springs/dished washers in the thrust assembly to keep tension according to the instructions (not yet fixed, will probably use a spring washer in there.)
-Needed to lightly trim the trans halves where the outdrives and input shaft go for clearance.
-Had to add shims to one side of the diff to better center it in case. Shims were included in the kit but not mentioned
-swapped one bearing type insdie to the case to the thicker variant while using the thinner one on the spur/countergear due to binding issues.
-1 of the transmission screws threads into nothing and there isn't room for a nut on the other side (not yet fixed) I think this was meant to thread into the motor plate but the screw just passes through the hole. Will glue the hole for now so the screw can bit into the motor plate a bit.
-Instructions mention 3 sizes of ball cups, but only 2 sizes are supplied
-There's no step showing you mounting the entire rear assembly to the chassis
-Shows regular ballstuds going into the shock towers, but you have to use the supplied m2x4 screws and threaded ball ends.
-added nuts to all the upper shock mounts to secure the screw directly to the towers. The 2 screws for the rear I had to use longer ones not supplied in the kit.
-used smaller hex lock nuts on shock mounts as the supplied ones were a bit too big to clear the tool and shock bodies with a socket driver.
-rear lower shock mounts I use longer m2x10 screws and added a 3mm spacer between the eyelet and the arm
Yup, same as the NRC24
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

BTW, yes they kept the iconic counter gear setup
I also suggest trimming the gear cover so the right rear suspension arm doesn't collide with it at full compression.
A side by side with the Goldpan NRC24
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: NRC K24 - 1/24 Scale Ultima Pro Replica
I've had a few people ask me what electronics I run so here's the list:
-Hobbywing EZRUN Mini 28 ESC & 1626 SD 6500kv Motor Combo (part# 38020368)
-AGFRC A06CLS V2 Servo 20T with aluminum servo horn
-Fantom MVS 2.0 400mah 7.6v LiHV (part# FAN2629)
-Mini RC Planet Spektrum DSM/DSM2 Micro 4CH Receiver (part# RX-ST) to run the car with my DX5R (note: I had to initiate pairing with the transmitter a room away to get it to actually pair)

Re: NRC K24 - 1/24 Scale Ultima Pro Replica
One thing I've been wanting to do since I bought the K24 was to make scaled down Turbo Scorpion wheels for it to match it's big bro. So that's what I did yesterday. Measured and scaled down the wheels and printed them in some Sirayatech Blu Nylon resin.
I had my paint guy, Dominator's Airbrushing, do a few bodies for me and the K24 and NRC24 were part of it.
Loving the look!
