If you are rebuilding a stealth transmission and can’t find the diff spring, you didn’t lose it.

It’s still in the out drive .

Hey guys. Took apart the transmission of my 10t to clean it up, assess the condition, and throw in some new bearings... in the process, I noticed my diff thrust spring (that goes in the drive shaft) is missing. I have one on order, but I’m wondering...

No, not the same.

It was probably a good idea to replace the thrust spring anyways. If they loose tension, it can cause the diff to run loose and damage it.

Heavy duty applications for the most part require carbide. I personally like Ceramic balls. However some people say they have issues with slipping. Never been an issue for me though. The other plus is they are realy inexpensive.-Jeff

I recently acquired a parts lot from a local guy here so I'm building another old school rc10 :mrgreen:

At the moment, I'm working on the transmission and the only part it's missing is the diff spring DOH! I know it should be a 6628, but I can't...

I bought the newer B3 slipper spring and it seems to be ok, I haven't tested it yet though I'm short a chassis at the moment for the gold pan #2 build :oops:

Did the Early 10s come with 4 Spring Cups, or Cups on the Rear, and Unsplit Perches on the Front? Would Unsplit Perches be correct for Edinger?
