This started as a very inexpensive purchase. I decided to keep it that way but not investing a ton of parts.
It was a challenging disassemble. There was a lot of superglue. I just drilled and tapped what I could.

This was the first Grenaded diff I’d ever seen. The diff ring shattered and launched though the diff gear into the spur. Crazy enough the diff was functional.

The diff gear and a new rear arm mount were the only parts I added.
To keep the cost down I’m going to cut my own motor mount. Right now the template is on the car to prove the fit.

Yes the chassis is just painted. I deanodozed it and spent a few minutes grinding out some of the big scratches.
The kids wanted gold and I already had a can I used for something else. I like the way it looks.
I also polished up and blue’d the steel.

I think that Frankentruck has a shock tower that fits more like a 10T that might work.
I'm using a JConcepts T5M body on mine.

I do have a 'forward of gearbox' rear shock tower. It will allow use of a T/T2/T3 body. It you want to use a T4 body, I have an adapter that works for the front mount on an RC10T that might work on the GT too.

It's not bad, just a little off angle. Once the body is painted, foam washers applied, and the collars put on the posts, nobody will give it a second glance.

I'm going to see how far I can get with the parts I have before I go farther. I am having a heck of a time drilling out my motor plate. I made a thick kydex template for drilling and that fits on the carfine. I drilled out a steel plate that bolts exactly onto my kydex template. The steel plate does not fit on the car. looks like I'll have to jbweld the holes and start again.
I assume you already have full length stick packs. Otherwise I'd suggest going with shorty or saddle packs. That way nothing need to stick out over the sides of the chassis plate.

But that is just me.
I paused on this project.I think I may be done with it.
I have a shorty pack that i was going to use. I am seeing if a b5 battery cradle or b/t 6.2 side rails may be an option. I saw a few years ago lots of people here adding b5 cradles/ sides to their vintage assocaited.

The front body posts aren't the correct angle but are usable. I'm going to use 2" universal posts.
In the rear, I used a center post bracket and a cut down RC10 post. The 90° bracket is just a piece of Kydex.
