Pro tip #6636

When you are moving and have either packed away or sold every lubricant you had in the house (including the bedroom ones), diff grease makes squeaky hinges glide like new. 🤣

Only problem with that is long term it’ll cause the hinges to bind and wear, due to the grease holding dust, better option is a bit of graphite aka pencil lead👍🏼 Dry lube = no dust attraction

If my tool chest wasn’t already in storage I’d have some graphite ready to roll. Luckily I’m still going through my rc stuff as it’s the most difficult to sort and subsequently part with. 😉

If he is moving I don't think he's too concerned with hinge longevity, lol.

I have a mixture that I make for fishing reel bearings.

It is made from TSI-321 and Corrosion X. However, it's main component is 99% isopropyl alcohol.

The IPA acts as a solvent and carrier fluid before evaporating. It will displace dirt and grime, leaving the lubricant.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
