Except for being Beetles, they are different in nearly every other way.

I have vehicles in both types of chassis. With the Blitzer being truck based, it has more ground clearance and bigger tires. The Kyosho is mostly metal, so it is tougher than the plastic Tamiya.

Both are nice vehicles and have their own cool factors.

I don't actually have a Blitzer Beetle but have two Stadium Blitzers. Both have many re-re Beetle parts though.

Is parts availability tough for the Kyosho?

It isn't too bad right now. But like everything else, it can be sporadic. Luckily, they made three cars that share many common parts.

They are pre-cut. The window masks are kind of a pain, as they are made from paper tape. They are easier to tear than the vinyl masks that most bodies have.

The Beetle, Scorpion, and Turbo Scorpion are based on the same chassis. The Beetle and Scorpion are nearly identical, except for the body and wheels. I actually have chrome Scorpion front wheels on my Beetle, as I thought they looked more "correct".
