This is the REAL DEAL folks. An all original Hotshot beater that my brother Derek (coxbros1) and I purchased off ebay and restored. It is a great runner too, not just a shelfer. Be sure to check out the fuctioning heat sinks that we all remember burning the hell out of your fingers and the Tamiya vintage motor. It does have a front suspension arm support and aftermarket front bumper as the stock one is too toyish. This is the car that introduced us to racing and the hobby way back in 1985 or 1986. Our friend had one and we were so jealous. Click on pics for clearer resolution.

1986 'Supercharge Hotshot' produced by Supercharge Models near Romsey, and raced by shop owner and Romsey circuit Race Director Bill Jones. Probably the most successful modified Hotshot format, certainly internationally as he qualified second in the A Final at the 1986 European Championships with one, winning the second leg outright and coming 5th overall. This car has an original Supercharge SWB chassis and shortened main prop shaft, Thorpe rear ball diff, CRP front wishbone brace, SRM tinted bumper, TMS alloy steering hubs, TMS bodyshell and a super rare set of Phoenix alloys. Electrics include a Futaba 131-SH servo, a Futaba FP-R102H mini receiver, a Rory Cull team spec and uprated Demon ProKing ESC and a Demon 16 Triple motor. Shocks are the original and well used Associated items which came with the car. The shock bodies show use but i could not bring myself to restore or replace these original items so have left them as they came for a splash of raced patina. I have hunted for one of these beautiful Hotshot chassis variants for literally years so am now absolutely smitten with this. It is going to be raced in this format at the UK Revival vintage meeting this summer. There is a resto thread in the Tamiya section showing a bit more paint detail and some great period mag shots of the car

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - March 2021 ** - Winner - dinglem
This one is close to my heart , its a modern recreation of the Hotshot I used to race , a car I lost to the sands of time but really wanted back ! So here it is , the chassis is a recreation of the TMS Racing fibreglass chassis made in collaboration with Jeff at Factory Works , I found a TMS Racing Tornado 18x2 Mod motor for it , its running with a Novak Super Rooster ESC , TMS replica body by Penguin , the really different part though is the rear end , originally back in the 80's my 15 year old self transplanted the front suspension to the rear by cutting the mounts on the gearbox and opening out the mounts on the arms to fit then fitted a track rod between the steering knuckle and the mono shock mount on the lower arm , I have some rather badly aged photos of the car in the build thread linked below , this gave it roll induced rear steering , the harder you threw it into a corner the more the rear end steers , it also had a rocking shock mount that further allowed chassis roll . Now this recreation has been done with far greater resources than I had at 15 so the rear arms are custom designed to fit the rear gearbox without modification and there's a million other little tweaks but nothing that alters the geometry . When I fist drove this car it was like slipping into an old pair of slippers , I was 15 again for just a little while , this car is very personal to me only I guess but I hope you like it too , this is a link to the build thread https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=45744

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

XV01 Rally Long Damper Spec. Quick story to this one, a friend of mine was suffering pretty badly through the last 12 months or so, so we decided to build team cars, his is number 3, mine number 33, they are build exactly the same with the same hop ups. We built them together, once at my place, once at his, really happy with the results, they look great side by side.

Can two polls run concurrently in the same thread?
In addition to the BOTM, can a second poll run for the three Hotshots?

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
