RC10GT - black pan - E-conversion?
I may have access to one of these that is in really good condition but I doubt the engine is usable. It seems that this chassis shape would hinder an E-conversion. But I also have a spare RC10 original buggy chassis. Does it make sense to combine these two and try to build a mid-motor RC10T?

yup motor plate is cheap and easy .and as far as setup you can either run a shorty lipo pack , or do some custom 3d printing and use full size packs lol. here is one of my e converted gts

Loved the way this conversion looks with use of the b5m waterfall mount integrated into the battery strap.

Based on those pics, the motor and chassis are going to interfere if I use the RC10 buggy chassis. So the extra space may not be worth having to cut the side-wall. I have some shorty packs already(and things seem to be going that way in the industry) so that sounds like a good option.discgolfer72 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 10:36 am yup motor plate is cheap and easy .and as far as setup you can either run a shorty lipo pack , or do some custom 3d printing and use full size packs lol. here is one of my e converted gts
I may make a pitch for this GT. I ended up with two RC8.2e rollers in some trading. I think roller for roller should be a fair trade (trading with my Brother). If I don't get rid of one of the 8.2s I will ende up spending money converting it to something else.

I like he clean look but it seems to take up some extra space. But, I wondered about chassis bracing while looking at the motor mount.Souptheword wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 2:39 pm Loved the way this conversion looks with use of the b5m waterfall mount integrated into the battery strap.

Re: RC10GT - black pan - E-conversion?
Black pan trucks tend to flex too much and require bracing of some sort. The truck Jason built is one of the nicest I've seen.
Lots of beautiful examples of converted GT's.....
Here's a blue pan that I converted and drilled for a short wheelbase to fit old bodies.

this design fixes the flex /brace problems with the black pans . but it needs to be printed in a high temp plastic and even then if your. motor gets to hot you risk warping . its up on thingiverse . would love to have one made on a cnc out of aluminum

Re: RC10GT - black pan - E-conversion?
this is my solution to e-gt and flex in the chassis. no new holes, the lower part of the waterfall picks up the motor mount holes.
