Pro-line Ambush 4x4. 1:25 scale crawler. Fashioned after my 1:1, 1st generation International Harvester Scout 800. Top and windshield were scratch built from styrene. Body is molded Lexan. Chassis is steel leaf sprung, steel ladder style rails. Excuse the dust and blemishes, I run this one fairly regularly. Cool small-scale RC.

This truck picks up on page 3 for anyone who hasn’t seen it before.

This started life as a Tamiya Rough Rider , what I've done is try and make a Replica of the Full scale Funco SS1 that was the inspiration for the Rough Rider , I've tried to go full 70's with it .
It's a full fabricated metal cage and I've model'd up a body panel set in the same configuration as the full size car in CAD software then 3D printed it , painted it etc , it also has a driver figure with my own head that i 3D scanned and 3D printed , there is a build thread here https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=44715 , just too much to explain here so please take a look .

What was I thinking
Here's my Marui Hunter, just finished yesterday!
This car was bought as a wreck a good 15 years ago, then put on storage once the NiB chassis that I mounted on it broke exactly at the same spot as the original one, while sitting on the shelf
With lockdown and all, and no pressure on the modern racers (no races helps!), I figured out it was time to give it some TLC.
Fully restored, some new parts, some older ones fixed, brand spanking new original body + stickers, tyre lettering, fully functional Challenger 260 with 4-cell battery holder and all! A very unpretentious blast from the past that you don't want to run because it'll break just by looking at it already
Build thread here (well at least the past week, this took 15 years to do!)

(edit daaaaaayyum, my Hunter doesn't stand much of a chance haha)

I meant no disrespect to either Lonestar or the Hunter ,Its great that it can be restored and recorded as an early part or the off road RC story , i really want a Samurai even though i'd have to resist the urge to drive it ...... not sure i could resist it though

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
