The teeth on the servo horn went bad. I’m a newbie so I’m not sure do I need a new servo horn specific for this servo or will any 25 tooth horn work?

horns are all compatible, just find one with the same splines as stock (axial is pretty modern for us here- I cannot confirm their spline count). Keep in mind you may need to drill the hole out a bit or choose a hole thats close to the original. If you can add a servo saver instead (Kimbrough recommended) it will help keep things from breaking as easily.

I wouldn't install a servo saver on a crawler. Your splines most likely failed because of torque, not impact. Crawling requires tight precision steering control at times and a servo saver will not allow you to maneuver as well. The answer here is an aluminum servo horn and eventually, if you dont already have one, a metal gear high torque servo. I say all this assuming that your axial servo is in an axial truck. If you're using an axial servo to steer an RC10 buggy, ignore all this and follow GoMachv's instructions.

Good call, I hadn’t considered the vehicle being an axial as well- these newfangled contraptions confuse us old folks
