So we moved.... now the dramas begin!
So, some of you may know (or have heard), we moved interstate early in July. 6 1/2 hours, 450kms, a whole house and sheds boxed up and shifted. No mean feat, considering all the junk we have.
Over the last six weeks, I've been slowly starting to get back into the RC again, sorting, swapping stuff about, looking for things. Restarted a project Tamiya FF01 FRP chassis that I had for a decade or so, just about finished it. Decided at this point that it was time to get the body I'd put away for it ready, and work out how to paint it.
So, start looking for the body - it's a Tamiya Honda Civic body, new and unpainted but missing everything apart from the lexan body mould. No problem, I have decals, paint, and accessories.... but can I find the body? NO SIR!!! We've not been able to locate a few items since the move, but only little things..... to this point, anyway.
Start looking a little harder.... wait a minute, I can't find a stack of bodies.... what's going on??????
So, here I sit... at this stage, I can see that I'm missing:
- NIP Schumacher Panther body
- Two NIP McAllister dirt wedge bodies
- NIP 235mm vintag pan car Jaguar body (for my Daytona project).
- Tamiya Civic body.
Fair to say, I'm slightly confused, and VERY pi55ed off!!!!!
Ever have one of those days? That's me right now....
Rant over.
Alex

if thats all I had going on wrong then I'd pry be better off
We all get them slumps Alex. Hope yours goes away soon. I've been living one for a couple years now and wish it was as simple as missing some RC stuff I have but just can't find. Not trying to downplay your situation by any means and understand where you are coming from though RCwise...little things like a white GT spur gear that I know I have more than enuf of and even a NIP one but can't lay my hands on them along with some other stuff but I'll run across them someday when the project is long gone
Good luck with your anxiety...
Todd

Re: So we moved.... now the dramas begin!
Sorry to hear that. I know where you're coming from. I moved twice in the last 6 years and its no picnic. I found RC stuff in the second move that I'd lost in the first move. Go figure. Still, very irritating. Nothing sucks more than having to go buy something that you KNOW you have somewhere, but can't find it. (or worse yet, something not so easily replaced.)

Re: So we moved.... now the dramas begin!
I can totally relate. Moving is the equivalent of not being able to find a matching sock but on steroids! I find it hard enough to find RC parts, tools, TV remote, my glasses etc, without moving...
Hope things get easier for you.

Re: So we moved.... now the dramas begin!
Thanks for the support guys....
Biggest problems I have now (apart from $150+ worth of vintage bodies missing) is that (A) the box is not hidden somewhere in my stuff, it just has not been unloaded off the moving truck, and (B) I cannot for the life of me remember what else is packed into the same box!!!!
Already thought of another body that seems to have disappeared in the same lot.... not a good week.

Re: So we moved.... now the dramas begin!
Egg on my face update.....
So, I went and visited my parent's place, where I had stored some stuff in the months before we moved. Seeing as we have been settled for six weeks, I thought I may as well go and pick everything up. I'd been there at least three times since I dropped it all off, and had a GOOD look at what was there....
Get everything out of there, and no, there's nothing extra, no hidden moving boxes full of bodies... just one of my Dad's old work crates. I checked it again, nope, shut pretty tight. Not going to be in there, of course. I almost gave up, but thought I may as well pry the lid open and just 10000% confirm the fact.
So, of course, all the missing bodies were there.
Found in this box that I have NO MEMORY of putting my rc bodies in:
- NIP Schumacher Panther body (Nitro 10 or Nitro 4x4)
- A set of U5031H uncut lexan belt covers for the Schumacher Nitro 4x4
- NIP 235mm vintage Mcallister pan car Jaguar body (for my Daytona project).
- Protoform Peugeot P905B High Downforce 235mm pan car body
- Tamiya Civic body.
- Frewer Metro 6R4 and Escort XR2i painted bodies
- Venom unpainted Skyline GTR drift body kit
- Mclaren GTR Mini-chassis body, that I thought I'd lost months ago
- Another unpainted touring car
- Tamiya 53243 M-Chassis Undercowl set
Fair to say I'm much happier this week than I was last week!!!!
Big thanks to all you guys for remaining positive... sometimes I just have to listen to wiser heads!
