Hey guys, I need a sense check from you all, to tell me whether I'm mad.
Long story short: I found my old RC10 a few weeks whilst clearing out an attic (25 years after last touching an RC car). Queue many fond memories and a few hours playing around with all the stuff in the bag. This find has prompted a strong urge to build a vintage Cat XLS from scratch, as a) this was the one car I really, really wanted when I was younger growing up in the UK, and b) I have the time and resources to do it properly now.
I'm worried that with the re re looking so good, am I completely mad trying to build effectively the exact same thing from scratch with original used and new spares that I can get together via ebay etc? Is there any value pursuing this as a project or would I be better off ordering a re re and trying to build a YZ10 instead?

Re: Sense check - XLS build from original parts
Hi there,
It appears you have already answered the question yourself....you want a restoration project and it does not matter if it is a yokomo or a Schumacher. Parts are readily available for the schumacher if u choose to restore an old cat so it will not be much of a project.
