Dilapidated RC's and Future Projects
I'd like to start a thread showing the rusty, dusty, broken and incomplete side of our collections. I'm sure most of you, like myself, don't just own shelf queens and well maintained regular runners. I want to see that pile of corroded and ugly crap that you can't let go of because you're going to get around to it. Or maybe that car that's waiting for the build to start because of lack of parts. Or maybe a pile of dirty parts waitng to be a car someday. Let's see some pics of that RC junkyard! I'll start it off with pics of my "someday I'm gonna build a JRx2" and my barn find TRC Pro 10. It was literally found in a barn. The tires are not chunked out from driving---they are chewed on by rodents.

Re: Dilapidated RC's and Future Projects
Here's some more "eye candy" from my junkyard to set the tone. lol Someone has grafted the rear of a sand scorcher to the tub of a holiday buggy. Whatever you call what they ended up with here, they obviously drove the hell out of it. I sold my mostly complete original sand scorcher a couple years back and regretted it. Now I can't bring myself to part with this pile-O'-poo. Probably end up being parts for a future project.

Building complete nice show winning cars is one of the things that seems to be a problem with me heh.

Re: Dilapidated RC's and Future Projects
This is a Kyosho GP10 (based) 1/10 scale on-road nitro powered that I purchased while stationed in Okinawa Japan in the late 90's. It was upgraded with 4wd/two-speed transmission/cooling fan kits, an OS Max CZ-RX 12 (2.11cc) engine with lots of option parts that were obtained at local Japanese hobby shops. If you look close you'll set a set of Hot Trick shock collars! I have the radio buried in a box somewhere and will post it when I find it.
It has been "stashed" in a corner for many years so I'm going to start the restoration/ cleaning ithis summer (I hope). I think I have all the parts that are not bolted on, along with a Frewer Porsche 959 wide body in decent condition.

Ok, I dug a little deeper and brought out my most coveted section of my junkyard. The Big Boys Toys sprint car box. The one in the pic is nearly complete enough to tear down and start a ground-up build. The rest is spare parts I've picked up here and there whenever I find them. I've been wanting one of these for about 20 years and I will finally build this to completion when I've collected all the right parts.

This Bolink Invader Pro 10 recently came out of the junkyard and got cleaned up to see if it was worth building. It came out of the same barn as the TRC Pro 10 and was in similar condition. Now it's mostly waiting for the right bolink wheels/tires and the right vintage body.

I fondly remember Big Boy's Toy's sprint car kits for the RC10! I had one myself back in the day. Bought it from an ad in the back of the RCCA magazine. Like a fool, traded it for a motorcycle helmet.

That's all you guys can show? Or you just don't want to show boxes and drawers and... like me
I have a stash of leftover parts and projects that's easily double or triple of what's used in my runners and shelfers.

If I wasn't packing all my carp up to move, I'd hit this thread like Thumbs at something he'd hit hard...... but sadly (or more likely, luckily for all), most stuff is inaccessible.
Having said that, hold my beer......

Almost forgot about the command center. Just picked up the clodbuster today. Every drawer, cabinet, ---well you get the idea.
