It all depends what your after, you can buy lipo trays from other manufacturers that do tend to fit or a little mod and done or buy the online ebay is a carbon fibre lipo tray another chap makes that is up to the job, mine is designed more for my tub chassis so think the ebay one is more suitable

Looking at replacing some items.

Rear axles, seems someone has used a front one? Seem to fit alright and are cheaper on ebay! But can someone comfirm it for me.

Also what part number is a shock rebuild kit?

Go onto google and search for retromodelisme and youll find a French site. Look for manuals listed top left and in that is the Lazer zx manual with part numbers. Tbh if shock shafts arent bent just replace the seals which you can easily find from kyosho.

Pk racing (corally) upperdeck from the Netherlands perhaps?
Front axles in the rear can help prevent binding when you have more than usual downtravel in the suspension. But more likely it's a spare used because of lack on rear spares.

The zx manual they have is just a supplement manual i think. I got the zxr manual downloaded from the site though.

Ok, question is what is your plan with the car, ful restoration or full upgrade to race now? I only ask due to other options but are costly.

RE: BEARINGS

What are the extra bearings listed in this 'kit' . Are they required considering the zxr was intially marketed with 14 included bearings  Taking into consideration i dont need bellcrank bearings if they are included to upgrade the original bushings.

Also ordered a set of jc racing wheels for it.

Ok towers, fibrelyte in the uk have a variety for the zx/zxr and you can buy it thicker and I use a 5mm thick tower so wont kill your gear box.

Bearings just look on either ebay or for a lical supplier in your country, dont buy the cheapest as they probably wont last but your looking ar 8 for the hubs, 4 for the diffs, 4 for the steering, 2 for the layshaft and I would replace the brass bushings with bearings in the rear gearbox but you dont need the brass bushing in the front gearbox. Also a thrust race on the layshaft and if your stillusing the original ball slipper then another thrust race but dont use a bearing on the spur, the bushing is preferable.

Other weak point is rear tower so suggest buying a carbon fibre one as well, maybe one or two mm thicker also as that way you wont break it. Other than that the cars a tank.

Wheels i use annsman mad rat wheels but jc should be fine.

Oople have a thread for the lazer on the vintage section, its at the top of the page as its the biggest thread and loads of info for upgrades etc.
