Worlds car shock upgrade
What shocks off the new associated cars will fit the re re worlds and re re rc10 Classic? Are there big bore aluminum options? What modifications will I need to make?

Re: Worlds car shock upgrade
people have used them. the biggest changes would be to add some spacers to the mount points to move the shocks in a particular direction to avoid contact arms and links, etc. then internal spacers might be used to adjust total shock stroke. I haven't done it but it doesn't seem too difficult.

I personally like the V2 shocks with BB springs.
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

Re: Worlds car shock upgrade
Currently running B4 big bore shocks on my short wheelbase RC10 gold pan special. They go on just fine with the odd washer to improve shock tower clearance. Here they are on RPM arms which can give more throw through variable mount points and multi-hole towers can help to ease any close proximities. Using Associated 12mm blacks on the front and yellows on the back an it's all works pretty well.

The B4.2 shocks are nice, you'll just need to space them away from the shock towers so they don't rub.

Re: Worlds car shock upgrade
I run a longer front tower with mine as well, there are a few sources around where you can find them. I also spaced my rear tower forward and ran the big bores behind it. I found there was an odd bind as the suspension compressed that was reeking havoc on the track. After the change, could not be happier.

Re: Worlds car shock upgrade
They are towers that I make. I have all the flavors- standard CE and Team, Worlds, and custom too that are all modified for big bore shocks and on the rears I modify them for modern wing mounts
You can pm me for details. i charge $15 for each tower plus $3 shipping. Here's my thread in the sales section

Re: Worlds car shock upgrade
Thank you...tucked the edge of the speedo into the battery cup, opened a hole in the top of the cup. Out the hole, through the bulkhead and to the motor. I've been getting more OCD about simple/clean/neat wiring as I get older.
