Hi guys,
I'm wanting to install a full bearing set on my Optima 1st gen. There are a number of companies that make sets for the optima such as Avid and Fast Eddy. Is there any brand in particular that's better than the other? I also noticed that Team Losi made a set called Gold Seal bearings. Any thoughts on those?
Thanks

Re: Optima bearings
The Trinity sets were NMB bearings which were and still are the finest you can buy. That said, you would never be able to tell the difference between those and a cheap set. The longevity maybe a little. Just get a set of either you mentioned and they will be more than fine
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Optima bearings
Good info! Thank you. I don't think I've seen the Trinity set for sale. From what I've read, people recommend cleaning out brand new bearings and then lubing them yourself. Is this really necessary? If so, what do recommend for lube?
