XX number 3 rebuild - racer Chris Rowcliffe ex car

So I finished off my XX Kinwald build, and the car is running nicely now. I also stripped down my original XX and that's sitting in parts ready to be rebuilt. Obviously the thing to do is go and buy another XX for another build! I have issues.

Picked this one up recently, this is an ex racers car (Chris Rowecliffe). I've not seen a red motor plate before, was that available as a losi part? Early pic attached.

I'm going to strip this one down and then start a rebuild. More to follow!

It seems that some of the lightweight motor plates were offered in coloured anodised finish... I brought one for my XX in blue, my friend brought the red version

guys, sorry the pic didn't show, I didn't check it afterwards.

Update on this one is the car is stripped down, and cleaned up the parts, but I've not yet rebuilt it.

I have had a few more cars on the table needing a rebuild so prioritised them, will put details in a seperate thread.

I'll still rebuild this one and will post pics soon.
