old yokomo motor

Post by pedro »

I picked this up the other day simply because I had never seen one before a yokomo twin cam motor was my first ever modified back in the day but it was the normal round shape this is normal in every other way it's just flat and more compact.

I had this one before and a some other in this series. Actually they are lemons.... especially when they were compared with motors in the same era, such as checkpoint, trinity, etc..

However, it is one of the earlier epoxy balance armature. But the tolerance of the end bell is rather poor in this series of Yokomo 05 turbo, 05 Turbo RS, 05 twin cam, 05H, 05 Turbo twin cam motor... weak magnets too, which are the reasons why they don't perform well IMHO
