There is a bit of difference.... the Works has it's own chassis (in purple), as it has a different gearbox (different mounting screw positions, different side plates in purple, different gear cover), and also utilises Bosscat rear hubs. Everything else that can be upgraded on the Cougar2 should be on the C2 Works as well (carbon fibre shock towers, ballbearing steering, roller driveshafts, slipper, Pro diff, pro shocks).
You could upgrade a Cougar 2 to works, there was a kit pretty much like the Stealth upgrade for the RC10 6-gear.... even included a drilling template for drilling the new gearbox mounting holes.
