How long should a DHL package from Germany to USA take?

I was wondering if anybody has ever purchased an RC car or anything for that matter online in Germany or Europe and had it shipped by DHL. I purchased an rc car and it was shipped nov. 11th and tracking shows it arriving in the USA nov. 19th but the tracking hasn't been updated since. This is the first time I have ordered from overseas so I don't know how long to expect. It was sent by DHL standard shipping. I don't think DHL delivers in the US anymore, so it's probably being transferred to USPS and of course customs, so I hoping thats whats happening. Any thoughts?

I don't think the US has the customs like other countries do that can hold packages for a long time. But I know if its standard mail they aren't in any hurry and they seem to hit every hub on their way to you. Hope it all works out.

Thanks for the reply, guess I will just have to wait and see. The seller is supposed to call DHL and see what they say. At Least the package was insured.

The package arrived today, so it takes about one month from germany to the USA by DHL. Their tracking is terrible and they no longer deliver to the US which means the package gets transferred to a 3rd party which in my case was USPS.

Glad it worked out. Patience is the key with some international shipping. Unless its the crazy expensive priority.

Weird, I have a friend that works for DHL. I'll have to ask what's up with not delivering in the US

I used to see DHL trucks around and even had one deliver a camera many years ago. I guess they couldn't compete with the big 3. I am just glad my package arrived safely, now I have an idea how long my next package will take from Belgium. I purchased another Kyosho Graupner Kart and a brand new frame factory sealed!
