RC10 Worlds Car - Carpet Setup

My kid bought a worlds rere while we were up at the vonats. Now he wants to get into racing. So, our local track has an indoor carpet offroad track (not very big, tight corners). I'm looking for some assistance on a baseline setup. Oil, pistons, springs, tires, etc.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

I would recommend all of those items. Especially the shock oil, makes a huge difference.

I have nothing to offer except if you want a Mcallister lowering kit I'll mail it to ya

I raced my CE on carpet several times. Brown springs front, green rear. Will have to check oil specs. Rear axles level, front a tad high from level. Schumacher mini pins rear, cut staggers or mini pins in front. 3 degree rear arm mounts which I think someone revealed the stock rere worlds mounts are.

Hi scr8p,

take a look at this link http://www.petitrc.com/setup/associated/SetupSheetsAssociatedRC10WC.html
There is a nice setup for carpet from grand master Craig Drescher.

You can also start with silver front and rear springs, 40wt front with #2 pistons and 30 to 35wt in the rear with #1 pistons.
Front tower middle hole and outer hole on arms. rear tower second hole from inside and outer hole on arms.
Put the rear arm mounts backwards and you won`t need as much weight and blue springs in the front as Craig.

Greetings
Raimund

Please let me know how it worked because I had no chance to test it on my own.

Have fun

Curious to see how that setup would work too.
Any idea why the heavy springs, oil and all that weight?

With the higher traction of the carpet, you tend to chassis roll more than slide and stay flat. Also the carpet is smooth, so a softer setup is not needed.

Jay, I would also try a soft to mid tension rear sway bar.
