Scratches in fiberglass

Does anyone know the best to get scratches out of fiberglass? Or is it possible?

Sand with different grades of sand paper, heavy to fine, and then polish with car wax. If scratches are deep, you are S.O.L !

I think many fiberglass surfaces have a gelcoat top layer, most are probably not just raw fiberglass. If the scratched surface is otherwise nice & smooth, you could prep it for a bit of gelcoat to fill the cracks/scratches, then you polish the gelcoat layer smooth again, flush with the good surrounding fiberglass. I've never worked with fiberglass but I think that's how you'd repair deeper scratches or cracks. I found this tutorial that might be of help:
