Eagle Front Suspension Arms

Hi all,

I got my Eagle put back together this evening and didn't even get one pack through it before I broke the front suspension arm. The original part was 1931, but I can't seem to find any. Will the 3631 from the Stampede and Rustler work?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Hey dude,

Negative, the Stampede and the Rustler use 2530 front bulkheads and they are wider at the arm mounts than the 1931 arms. You might be able to shim some 2531 arms on your Eagle bulkhead, adjusting the front to rear positioning for shock slot alignment. Clearance between the rear of the arms and the chassis might be an issue though, depending on which direction you shimmed them. But with that much hinge pin exposed, they would be more prone to bending.

Check out some 2631 arms, they are for the TCP/ TRX-3. They will be a little shorter than the 1931's but they will fit the bulkhead and the caster blocks for the Eagle. They are still available. Again though, I am not sure with the shock slot alignment. Pretty sure the caster blocks would fit the 2531 arms though. The shock slots in the arms are wide and they come with aluminum spacers. You may have to shim the shock tower off the bulkhead to line them up.

OR:

There is a lot of room to drill holes on a 2530 bulkhead. You could line it up, clamp it to the chassis, drill the mounting holes, lash it up and run with the 2531 arms. Same deal with the shock tower.

I haven't done it with an Eagle but 2630 bulkheads are hard to find and I have trimmed up 2530's to fit the TRX-3 and accept 2631's.

Jeez, long blurry post. Do your own math, but those might be some options.

Dave,
that I can understand. I ran a 1931R set on the front of my eagle thru some pretty punishing bashings...read cartwheels into that and never broke a set that didn't deserve to be broke  . Not really sure of anything from the current lineup that could be fabbed to fit but let me dig to see if I have some 1931r still hanging around...
