The Beagle (optima Clone) garage sale find
The Beagle (optima Clone) garage sale find
As some of you may have seen I found 2 MRP pro 110's at a garage sale around the corner from my house. Also in the tub was this car. At first I had no idea what it was. After calling a friend, he let me know it was called "The Beagle" and that is was an Optima clone. Well on to the pictures.
There are 2 complete sets of extra Kyosho wheels and tires, along with a vintage Kyosho speed controller.
I charged up the battery and the car runs and drives. I really want to put an Optima body on it and clean it up. The beagle body to me doesn't look very pretty.
your Thoughts?

Beagles are nice buggies as far as shelfing goes. Runner wise the parts are brittle and prone to breaking. In the condition it is in I would personally have a hard time running it anyway!

Ive got one in similar shape, but no body, or stickers or anything else. Mines going to become an optima hybrid. I would thank you to send the body to tbg and have him start repopping them! Personally,, Id like to run mine as a beagle. Those bodies are pretty much non existant, except for yours!

TBG can't (won't?) repop if it's been cut.

Re: The Beagle (optima Clone) garage sale find
Thats the first beagle body ive seen in years. Makes me wonder why. Was it soo ugly that owners trashed them quicker? Very thin and prone to damage? No replacements available?

I prefer the optima body. I guess this one will become shelf art. And I will invest in some tamiya re release cars like I had when a was a kid. I used to jump my Blackfoot off of snow banks and it took a good beating.
