Shodog's TT01 score

Post by shodog »

Yesterday I swung by the hobby shop to pick up some plugs and double sided tape for a motorcycle project. The shop was selling this used TT-01E BMW M3 that's been hopped up with a set of yeah racing aluminum parts, a Castle mamba max pro ESC and Novak motor. Spektrum DX3C. A Venom 3800 lipo battery and a TLU-01 lighting kit. All this for $200. I had been toying with the idea of building a nice chassis for my Porsche RSR so this one will fit nicely under that body. I'll most likely scab the electronics out of it to use in other runners

It looks really good and at that price it was a great deal. The stock kit tends to sell for around $140 average.

This weekend I finally got around to doing something with this chassis. I was able to switch out the white body and Chrome wheels with my Blue M3 body and Tamiya aluminum mesh wheel. I like how it turned out. I took the white body and chrome wheels and spektrum radio and dropped it all on a TL-01 chassis and made a great runner for my girlfriends son.
