ESC placement

building a car on the graphite chassis. The new ESC I have is wider than the chassis space left and I'm not sure on where to mount it, I'm considering up front next to the servo. I'm thinking it might better the balance of the car too with less weight towards the rear. no matter where its mounted, the bottom will not be fully supported.

Im trying to put a driver figure in this car so prefer to keep it low in the car.

With a driver it's a little harder. We always ran the shock tower or used a battery cup to make a shelf above the battery

For my runner graphite i put esc on the side an used an undertray to give some extra side impact protection...

You know, that might actually be doable. I'll have to look into it.

Well, looks like nothing works. even with the esc sitting on the chassis, the wiires are in the way of the body sitting flat.

looks like I wont be able to use the driver either way now. I butchered the hell out of it too trying to make it sit better with the body :/

The new shorty pack set up with the esc behind is a pretty slick way to go...
