So that's about it for now I guess. Still lots of work to do. I have to complete the electronics, refurb the tires, make the Hot Trick bumper, paint and trim the shell and then decals! I don't know when the final product will hit the shelves but this first build has been fun and also I am glad I have finally done it.

Cheers

Thanks a lot Adam and everyone else. It's great to build and also share the pics. Plus when I am at work I can look at them and not work. Mint! 8)

@Darryn glad the AYK bits turned up and I assume were what you wanted? I'll let you know if anything else turns up as like I said AYK bits just seem to get thrown into lots I buy.

@ all about the gold roll bar. I have one sure, but, I kind of like it if this one is in the style of a Wonder Dog Fighter. I am not sure on the gold AE shocks either which could help change the whole colour scheme.

My next build will probably be a Hot Trick RPS SE kit which will have the gold roll bar...

Lookin' really good!

You might be a little off period with the SCEs, though. That car was not really being raced much anymore by the time those came out. Those came out closer to late 1988 and the YZ10 was already dominating everywhere.

A 1200SC or SCR or a nice pack of 1400GEs would be a perfect fit in that build. Sanyo makes a 1500 that is almost identical in appearance to those old 1200s, and you can still buy them relatively cheap.

Otherwise, it's gorgeous!

Congratualations with the newly born!

Oops  well spotted and duly noted, I will switch out to some new SCR's when I build up the electronics and take final pics.

Thanks a lot all.

I'm not a fan of the red but it looks fantastic. The wheels and wing are perfect.

Cheers Richie.

I have just updated my Dog Fighter scans thread with manuals and other scans from this build. Check it out if you like these cars.
