Magnum SR question.

Post by Bong024 »

I have a chance to pick up a lot including an rc12l and a bunch of novak esc's. But I'm mainly interested in the magnum SR that is included. Was/is this a decent controller in its day?? Any thing I should look for, or any known

I don't recall any issues or things to look for short of the obvious broken switches. I have a new in box sr, if you get it and need a scan of the manual let me know. Lots of switches and gizmos!

Thank you, I appreciate that. I have been looking for an older tx, this one seems to be overkill for anything I will ever use it for, but too good of a deal to pass up. Thanks again.

If you flip the warm up switch It automatically revs the engine to warm it up- you can set the high, low, and time. Just think of all the cool switches and pots to turn. If you get everything there is a cord so you can detach the battery and put it in your pocket, keeps you from getting tired of holding it during a long race. Sooooo many cool things- You will love it

That sounds great!! I'll post pics of the lot when I get it. Bunch of old novaks, servos, even yellow nicad packs, but really looking forward to the magnum sr. I remember seeing the guys at the track as a kid with them, as I held my airtronics s/r, wishing my paper route money could afford the "good stuff".

That's great!! I still have mine, took so long to save up for it I'll probably never part with it:). That's amazing to find things like that nip. You've got an amazing collection going.

It's all about keeping the childhood alive. I have no idea what these kids nowadays are gonna do to relive their childhoods. It's gonna be sad

And that's just it, grabbing that old airtronics, it wasn't the best, but when i use it, or see my kids use it, brings back great memories, I guess they'll be holding on to old ipads
