Associated Guy With Losi Cars = ?!?!?!
I recently acquired six old school Losi buggies and enough spare parts to easily build a few more. My problem is that I've always raced only Team Associated cars and trucks except for a brief time when I did some prototype testing for BSR/Hyperdrive. My knowledge of Losi products is therefore very minimal. I'm not even sure that I can identify what all of these cars are.
I can certainly use Google and other search features as well as the next guy, but I'd rather start with some recommended sources of information from you guys. I want to completely rebuild all of these cars. It won't be difficult to clean them up since they are all in excellent condition, but I want to be sure that I am restoring them correctly as I go through them. Please help point me in the right direction.

LOL! That is rather obvious since I started this thread in the same place. Your point is valid though...Charlie don't surf wrote:http://www.rc10talk.com/viewforum.php?f=27
By the way, have you not been getting any of the PMs I send you? I know that you took a sabbatical from the forum for a while, but I still haven't heard back from you since your return. Please let me know.

I don't think there is anything in my inbox, is there any sent msgs in your outbox, or sent messages marked read/unread?ChisaiKuso wrote:LOL! Re: Associated Guy With Losi Cars = ?!?!?!
So far I believe that I have correctly identified the following cars as being complete:
-- Jrx2
-- Jrx2
-- Jrx2
-- Jrx2 (with 5-link suspension converted to H-arms)
-- Jrx-Pro
-- Junior 2
After studying the pictures and manuals on http://www.vintagelosi.com it seems that the Jrx-Pro is built on a Jrx2 chassis. Fortunately I found the correct Jrx-Pro chassis in one of the boxes of parts. Unfortunately it appears to have some extra holes drilled in it.
There are so many extra parts to go through that I barely know where to begin. This is definitely going to take some time (not that I'm complaining).

Re: Associated Guy With Losi Cars = ?!?!?!
I have questions about the various colored parts. In some of the boxes I've got lots of extra wheels, spur gears, bellcranks, and other parts that are red, orange, yellow, and white. Were these considered "optional" parts that could be used as replacements and/or to customize the buggies? If so, were they available during production of the Jrx2, or did they become available with the later cars?

Your going to have to upload pics, too many variables, too many cars, too many versions to be able to "just say"

Re: Associated Guy With Losi Cars = ?!?!?!
Early spurs were gray, when they started making a lot of different sizes they color coded them. Both non slipper and slipper or slipper and hydradrive
Bellcranks, original are black and thin to act as a servo saver. Early truck were white, iirc they were still thin to act as a saver. Orange came around later and was solid so you needed a servo saver.
So, as Reggie said....pics will help

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

I sent you another PM. Like all the others it showed in my outbox and then later was gone (presumably when you checked your new messages).Charlie don't surf wrote:I don't think there is anything in my inbox, is there any sent msgs in your outbox, or sent messages marked read/unread?
