my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build updated photos roller done
i bought a pretty nice graphite car a few weeks ago off craigslist. i thought i scored $125 has all white parts and was all pretty tight and not wore out and a whole box full of parts. a couple radios servos rx's brand new set of 6 gear idelers and outdrives and what i think are two new 6 gear pinions too.... not really sure never had a working 6 gear before myself... new undrilled white servo mounts bunches of new white body mounts and a brand new set of white knockoffs!
anyway front had a very small spot of delam i was gonna try to fix with crazy glue and the botom had a few small gouges. so i filed the outsides of the chassis to prevent any delam and crazy glued the sides and the gouges in the botom. i couldnt find my clamp i was gonna use to fix the front due to a construction project i had going on in the house.... (kinda glad i couldnt find it now) so i got on here and started looking through posts and seen scr8p's graphite WOIN build and the light came on in my head! to heck with fixin the delam cut it off!!!! so here is my progress i got the front cut down and drilled for the rc10gt/t/t2 bulkhead. rounded up some new old stock rpm worlds parts locally (front and rear arms rear mounts front tower and a new chetah racing t rear tower) and along with a nos rpm "worlds steering improvment" kit and a rpm rc10t anti teliscoping rear set i already had i have a pretty good start on parts.... i have also drilled it for stealth wet sanded the chassis and actually am quite happy with the results front the crazy glue you cant even tell the gouges were there after wet sanding with 400/600/800/1000/1500/2500 i have also gatherd up some other parts b4 top shaft and slipper coated shafts and all new parts for the shocks. only thing i am keeping from the shocks are the hard anno 1.02 and 1.32 bodies new bearing b44 cvd's b4 wheel spacers some rere blue alum screw sets along with some other blue hardwear. blue servo mounts blue turnbuckles shock end mounts with blue alum pivot balls blue alum batt thumb screws u get the drift lol so here are some pics of my progress soo far...

You are just lucky you caught me hard up for money or you would still be looking for parts.
I guess I am going to have to try to make it to Jakes one weekend when you get it done to see it in person.

Nice build. I'd like to see how wide the rear suspension looks when you are done.

If it were me, and just a suggestion if you plan to race this car... I would use a RC10 Worlds style rear tower. The shock angles are better suited for it.
Just a suggestion though. I still like the build.

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
I am going to drill some diffrent holes in the tower to lower and lay the shocks in a little bit... Kinda hit a little but of a snag i used an old b stamp pan to drill the stealth holes and the trans in about 1/8" off center to the leftOrange wrote:If it were me, and just a suggestion if you plan to race this car... Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
well I did a little more assembly and mocking up got it just about to a roller stage figured out what I wanted to do about my rear wheels and how I was going to make it wide enough to clear the shocks then I took it all back apart and polished the chassis last night it coming together nicely and the chassis looks awesome the bottom in the pic makes it look all beat up for some reason but its pretty smooth it has a few very shallow scratches tho

Re: my graphite rpm worlds WOIN build
You can use a B3 shock tower if you have or can find one. Or you can get a Thunder Tiger BX2 front shock tower (Graphite) But they are pricey, (I think $27 at Tower) Drilling the mounting and ballstud holes is tricky though. You need a RPM worlds style tower to do it correctly.
I keep waiting for someone to make a front shock tower that fits the narrow chassis and accepts .89 shocks. But nobody does yet. If anyone reading this... Hint, Hint!!
